FAQ’s
Can we self cater ?
Yes. The club has a commercial kitchen and you may engage a caterer to come in to prepare food. You may order in fast food such as pizzas. We also have a BBQ which may be used and you bring your food in. The use of kitchen and BBQ is on the basis of ‘leave it as you find it’ to avoid cleaning costs.
Do we allow for BYO beverages ?
No. GBC is a fully licensed venue, outside beverages, including non-alcoholic are strictly prohibited. Our bar stocks a good range of beers, wines, non-alcoholic beverages and spirits at reasonable prices. Any liquids brought into the venue will be taken by our staff and placed behind the bar for collection upon exit. Our liquor license runs until 11.00 pm.
Is smoking allowed ?
No. The club is totally smoke free
Is there parking available ?
We have off street parking for 60 Vehicles
Are bowls on hand for us to use and can we receive instruction ?
Yes. There are stocks of bowls in various sizes for you to use. Members will offer basic demonstration and some basic rules.
Are you a family friendly club and can children play bowls ?
Our facility is very family orientated and kids can play bowls. However, when bowling, we require supervision on the green
How long is a typical bowls session ?
Up to four hours including any catering. Without catering, we allow three hours.
How much do we pay for a session of bowls and what does this include?
$10 per person for access to the Club, greens and clubrooms, use of bowls, demo of how to play and the bar person cost.
Can I hire the clubrooms for corporate or private functions ?
Yes. We can host functions including, but not limited to :
Birthday parties Engagement parties Christmas parties
Family reunions Business meetings and seminars Weddings
The rooms are suitable for formal dining with seating for up to 100 people
and up to 150 people for informal dining. eg,buffets and smorgasbord.
This area is air conditioned, has bar, kitchen and toilet facilities,
including wheelchair access.Equipment Includes TV’s connected tolaptops and DVD units, tables, chairs, dance floor, stage,
lectern, microphones and basic AV setup.
Clubroom hire is at the rate of $50 per hour. Cleaning charge may apply if the facility is left in an unreasonable state.
If we hire the clubrooms for a function, can we bring in a DJ or live music
Our noise policy allows for external music up to 7 pm. Internal music may be
played up to 11.00 pm at sound levels up to 95 decibels, consistent with being
located in a residential area.
Can I make a tentative booking
Bookings are only entered into our system once we receive a deposit
Is a deposit required ?
Yes. A deposit will apply depending on the size and type of the function and will be
advised at the point of enquiry. This is refundable if notice of cancellation is
advised within 7days of the event. Should unscheduled weather result in no play, the club will try to reschedule the event,
if this is not possible the deposit will be refunded. Deposits and payments may be made by cheque or cash or direct debit into the Club bank account

Who do we report to about any incidents ?
Accidents and incidents are to be reported immediately to a GBC member. For emergency medical attention, we cal OOO.
